About the YWCA Housing Program

In partnership with the Pierce County Housing Authority, YWCA Pierce County offers affordable, transitional housing, and a wide range of flexible individualized services to survivors of intimate partner domestic violence. Services include safety planning, advocacy, case management, and referrals to other resources.

YWCA Housing Program FAQ

  • How do I get into YWCA Housing Program (YHP)? Contact Washawna Fletcher, Shelter & Housing Program Manager, to complete the interest waitlist form to determine eligibility.

  • Where are the apartments in the YHP located? These are undisclosed locations for confidentiality purposes as our housing clients are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking.

  • How many units are available in YHP? Pierce County Housing Authority designated 23 units of housing for use by survivors receiving services through the YWCA Housing Program.

  • Does YHP help you find permanent housing? Yes, YHP helps survivors in locating and securing permanent housing as the end of the transitional housing period.

  • How much does housing cost through YHP? Cost of housing through YHP depends on the individual household's income.
