Description: Events can be a huge benefit to your agency but sometimes that benefit comes with the potential of burning out staff and volunteers. In this workshop, you will learn strategies and tips on how to create events that raise money (Fundraisers) versus events where the goal is to connect people to your mission without a goal of raising money (Friendraisers).
Topics covered:
• When to keep and when to kill an event
• How to increase revenue from events
• Timelines, traps and tribulations when putting on events
• Tools like auction software that can help you be more effective and efficient
• Engaging and training volunteers so they bring value to your event
• The devil is in the details; how to track your event from start to finish
• Marketing your event using Social Media and other tools
• Evaluating your event
• Celebrating success

• How to measure the return on investment from your event
• Identifying inefficiencies that may jeopardize your success
• Getting the right donors to attend
