Insights Support Groups

Our support groups are weekly facilitated psycho-educational groups for survivors of domestic violence.  They offer healing, education, and peer support. Developing a positive support network is a key step in the healing process. Participants explore relationship dynamics, dealing with grief and loss, establishing healthy relationships, and rebuilding self-esteem. Insights Support Groups are offered to shelter residents and community members after an intake process evaluating their needs. Group activities include therapeutic activities such as art, meditation, and other healing components. Groups sessions are confidential; participants may be just beginning to realize their current relationship is controlling or abusive, or they may be out of the abusive relationship for a long period of time, but are just now ready to address the impact of that abuse. Those interested in learning more about the group are encouraged to call with questions or to get additional information.

*Please note that all programs and services require an intake.
